Bring your own LLM keys
BellowAI runs on your own model keys. You connect a key from Anthropic or OpenAI, and model usage is billed to you directly by the provider — at cost, with no markup on tokens.
Why bring your own key
- Predictable seat price. The BellowAI seat price is flat; your variable LLM spend is governed by your own provider plan.
- Full control. You choose which providers and models to use, and you can switch providers without lock-in.
- Billed at cost. Tokens are charged by the provider directly to you — BellowAI does not resell model usage.
Adding a key
Open My LLM Keys in the app and add a key for each provider you want to use:
- Anthropic (Claude) — create a key at console.anthropic.com under API Keys (keys start with
sk-ant-). - OpenAI — create a key at platform.openai.com under API Keys (keys start with
sk-).
Keys are stored per user and used only to make model calls on your behalf during a run.
The model picker is gated by your keys
You only see the models for providers you have a key for. If you have added just an OpenAI key, the picker shows OpenAI models; add an Anthropic key too and Claude models appear alongside them. Add a key, and that provider's models unlock immediately.

BellowAI keeps a single catalog of supported models, grouped into economy, standard, and premium tiers so you can match the model to the task and budget.

- Claude Sonnet 4.6 — standard, balanced model.
- Claude Haiku 4.5 — economy, fast model.
OpenAI
- GPT-4.1 — standard model.
- GPT-4.1 mini and GPT-4.1 nano — economy models.
- GPT-4o — standard model.
- GPT-4o mini — economy model.
- o4-mini — standard reasoning model.
The catalog evolves as providers ship new models; the picker always reflects what is currently supported.
